Synopsis:
One boring day, Ester finds a dead bumble bee. “Hurray, something has finally happened,” she thinks, and
together with a good friend she sets up the company
“Beerdigungen AG”. She makes a little coffin, prepares
the grave in a lonely clearing in the wood and decorates it with flowers. Her friend writes a sad and beautiful poem and recites it. Later, they are joined by Ester's
little brother Putte, who can cry so heartbreakingly.
Until the evening, the children search for dead creatures and bury them with great solemnity. Boredom?

Based on the children's book of the same name by author Ulf Nilsson, who lives in Stockholm, and Eva
Eriksson, one of the most popular Swedish children's
book illustrators, this film highlights the relaxed attitude to death and transience that is only found among
children.
