Synopsis:
A group of teenagers fall desperately in love with the same person. As their attempts to impress their crush and one-up each other
Comments:
“True Love,” by Jess Dadds and Sam Giles, is a Super-8 snapshot of early entanglements with infatuation, a love letter to a collective feeling. Shown as a step-printed sequence of images, we see the friends lounging at the park as they argue over what kind of drink their crush would be (either a cream soda or a Lipton ice tea), how they would take her out on a date, and anything else worth speculating about. With its youthful visual aesthetic, the film is a spirited reflection on love and camaraderie.
