Synopsis:
A small village in the north of the Netherlands in the 1950ties, when life was good, people were nice, hardworking and honest. Neighbours watched each other's property and local celebrations and feasts brought together members of the small community. The twin pranksters Hielke and Sietse dream of their own boat in which they could sail on the canal next to their house and have true "sea" adventures. Their dream soon comes true: they get a boat to own. Because of the motley paints it was covered with they call it the Chameleon, as it can change colour. The twins soon make friends with Esther, a new neighbour and a city girl who after losing her parents moved to their charming village. Together - as the skippers of the Chameleon - they will face a gang of thieves who rob houses of good citizens. Will they be able to expose them?
