Cinekid for Professionals (CfP), Cinekid’s renown industry event, has announced its programme for the 2017 edition to be held 24-27 October 2017 in Amsterdam. The programme offers a full-day conference and a Media Literacy Seminar organised around the theme ‘Expand your world – re-discovering media’.
The lineup for this year’s Professionals Conference, taking place on Wednesday 25 October, offers a full day programme. To name a few speakers: Senior Creative Producer Claire Cook (Nexus, UK) will address character and narrative in interactive storytelling. Talented animators Sarah Cox (Aardman, UK) and Rémi Chayé (FR) will delve deeply into styles and stories in animation. The Media Literacy Seminar powered by Mediawijzer.net is held on 26 October and offers talks and workshops focussed on the question: What can professionals and educators learn from young media makers and users? Let’s bridge the generational gap by taking children seriously as makers, users and creative beings. ‘Wake up’ with a new perspective inspired by, among others, philosopher Henk Oosterling (NL), emoji researcher Lilian Stolk (NL) and transmedia producer Asta Wellejus (DE).
