All the juries in the Generation-section of this year's Berlinale voted for films from countries, that until now have not been too present in the international landscape of children's film.
(17.02.2013) In the Generation 14+-section the Youth Jury gave their
Crystal Bear for the best feature film to “Baby Blues” by Kasia Rosłaniec, Poland, 2012, and had a special mention for “Pluto” by Shin Su-won, Republic of Korea, 2012.
The Crystal Bear for the best short film received „Rabbitland“ by Ana Nedeljković & Nikola Majdak, Serbia, 2012, with a special mention for “Treffit“ by Jenni Toivoniemi, Finland, 2012.
The International Jury in the 14+-section gave their Grand Prix for the best feature film to „Shopping“ by Mark Albiston & Louis Sutherland, New Zealand, 2013, and had a special mention for „Baby Blues“.
The Special Prize for the best short film the International Jury gave to „Första gången" by Anders Hazelius, Sweden, 2013, accompanied by a special mention for „Barefoot“ by Danis Goulet, Canada, 2012.
In the Generation Kplus-section the Children Jury gave their Crystal Bear for the best film to „The Rocket“ by Kim Mordaunt, Australia, 2013, and a special mention to „Satellite Boy“ by Catriona McKenzie, Australia, 2012.
The Crystal Bear for the best short film went to „The Amber Amulet“ by Matthew Moore, Australia, 2012. A special mention received „Hedgehogs and the City“ by Ēvalds Lācis, Latvia, 2012.
International Jury awarded in the Kplus-section with the
Grand Prix for the best feature film „Mother, I Love You“ by Jānis Nords, Latvia, 2013. Their special mention went to „Satellite Boy“.
The Special Prize for the best short film the International Jury gave to „Cheong“ by Kim Jung-in, Republic of Korea, 2012. A special mention they also had for „Hedgehogs and the City“.
