Yann Samuell's "The War of the Buttons" wins Golden Goat in Poznan / Another ECFA-Award for "Death of a Superhero"

The International Jury at the International Young Audience Film Festival Ale Kino! in Poznan/Poland has chosen The War of the Buttons" by Yann Samuell (France, 2011) as the best live-action feature Film for children.

(10.12.2012) As the best live-action feature film for young people the international jury at Poznan awarded "Identity Card", directed by Ondrej Trojan (Czech Republic, 2010).

The awards for best live-action short films received 
“Cluck“ by Michael Lavelle, Ireland, 2011 (for children) and „On the Beach“ by Marie-Elsa Sgualdo, Switzerland, 2012 (for Young People).

A special mention the international jury had for best actor: Rick Lens for his role in „Kauwboy“, directed by Boudewijn Koole, The Netherlands, 2012.

The award for the best animated film for children the international jury gave to „Ernest & Celestine“ directed by Benjamin Renner, Vincent Patar and Stéphane Aubier (France, Belgium, Luxembourg, 2012), the award for the best animated film for young people went to „The Inn“ by Izu Troin, France, 2012. A special mention received „The Gruffalo's Child“ by Johannes Weiland and Uwe Heidschötter, Greaz Britain, 2012.

The ECFA-Jury gave their award to Ian FitzGibbon for his film „Death of a Superhero“ (Germany, Ireland, 2011).

The young people’s jury awarded „Terri“ by Azazel Jacobs (USA, 2011) as best live-action feature film for young people; as best short live-action film they have chosen „The Arm“ by Jessie Ennis, Brie Larson and Sarah Ramos (USA, 2011). Their award for the best animated film the young people’s jury gave to „The Mystery of the Malakka Mountain“, by Jakub Wroński, Poland, 2011, with a special mention for „Dessert“ by Anna Mastnikova, Czech Republic, 2011.

The children’s jury gave their award for the best live-action feature film for children
to „Kauwboy“, as best live-action short film they have chosen „Kidnapped“ by Sarah Winkenstette, Germany, 2011. As best animated film the children’s jury awarded „Le Tableau“ by Jean-François Laguionie, France, 2011, with a special mention for „Leaves“ by Agnieszka Borowa, Poland, 2011.
