"Schlingel International Filmfestival for Children and Young Audience" in Chemnitz presented an outstanding Programme this Year
Hardly a festival succeeds to collect such a huge programme almost completely packed with films you would not like to miss as the organizers of of the "Schlingel International Filmfestival for Children and Young Audience" in Chemnitz/Germany did this year.
24 feature films in three competitive categories plus short films and numerous films in several sidebars left film experts breathless and attracted an audience of 10.000 children and young people. The experts' jury awarded "Frogs and Toads" by Simone van Dusseldorp, The Netherlands 2008, as the best film for children and "“Through a Glass Darkly" by Jesper W. Nielsen, Norway 2008, as the best film for youngsters. The international children's jury gave their award to the Russian Disney production "Book of Masters" by Vadim Sokolovsky, Russia 2009, as the best child actor they awarded Chun-Kai Wu for his performance in the film “Colourful Mind“ by Chen Kun Hou (China 2009).
The young people's jury gave their award to "Child and Angel" by Masoud Naghashzadeh, Iran 2009.
