La Matatena, A.C. is an institute widely recognised in the world of youngsters’ filmmaking.
Under the guidance of Liset Cotera, for 2 decades Mexican children have been making animated short films – La Matatena’s archives already contain 130 titles and many of them have been awarded in festivals around the globe.
From 8-13 August La Matatena’s Festival Internacional de Cine Para Niňos (…y tan niňos) will celebrate its 22nd edition, over the years 185.000 people have attended a festival screening. The second oldest festival in Latin-America is now looking for films. The call for entries is open until 21 April. We present you the brand new festival poster premiere.
