Synopsis:
The young teenager Sarah feels out of touch with the world she lives in. Neither her school, her friends nor her family understand her, and she is desperately seeking a meaning in her life. A series of mysterious graffiti messages around the city become the catalyst for a fast-paced adventure in an unknown and sinister underworld, where Sarah has to come face to face with her own despondency. But she is helped by a secret resistance group led by the enigmatic Liriko, and together they take up the fight against darkness. 'Verbo' is a Spanish fantasy film along the lines of Neil Gaiman's 'Neverwhere', and it uses its imaginative and beautiful setting to discuss the serious existential questions that most teenagers try to grapple with.
