Synopsis:
Tim is moving from the big city to a seaside village where his parents intend to run a hotel. While for them it's a dream come true, Tim misses his skateboard friends and is bullied at his new school. But things take an unexpected turn when Tim discovers a secret cellar full of old spy gadgets. It's getting even more amazing when Simon, a real spy from the 1970s who was frozen for 40 years, is now waking up after Tim accidentally hits a red button. Simon still has an old case to solve and he can use a little help in these strange new times. He doesn't even know what the internet is. For Tim, this is the beginning of an exciting adventure. Who cares about bullies anymore, when there are secrets to discover and a villain to unmask? Simon and Tim even have to sneak into the buildings of the secret service where their opponent has managed to hide. Not to mention his stupid helpers Boris and Sergey, who even dare to point there nasty gun at a lovely flower shop.

The bright young boy and the old-fashioned spy in his white smoking form an engaging couple in this youth adventure full of funny James Bond references. A catchy fantasy with a lot of humour, conceived by prolific youth film screenwriter Tijs van Marle, who obviously enjoyed himself (and us) with a biplane camera, granny's car with rocket propulsion, false moustaches, real guns, red telephones and blue forget-me-nots. Yes, there are even some endearing moments between the action scenes.
