Synopsis:
A new adaptation of Wilhelm Hauff's well-known fairy tale. The evil witch has selected the shoemaker's son Jacob for her sinister plans. She takes advantage of his helpfulness to lure him into her castle. When Jacob refuses to serve her, the witch robs him of seven years of his life and turns him into an ugly dwarf. She hopes that this will make the boy give in to her will. But Jacob stays steadfast even though he has to face the sad fact that when he returns to the village nobody recognizes him. No matter how popular, smart and friendly the boy used to be, the villagers now only see in him the conspicuous dwarf with a long nose. Only Jacob knows that he is still the same inside. His fate turns when he saves a goose, for this goose is not quite what it seems to be...
