The story, with its subtle ecological comment, is about a little unique creature named Jack whose only real sanctuary, we learn, is the lush paradise of the jungle. Jack, of a species unknown to man, is cute, cheerful and bold and lives a life of gaiety with his monkey peers. One day he becomes the object of desire for the movie star Isabella Scorpio and her millionaire husband Conrad Kupman who are sailing on jungle waters in search of the rarest creature in the world! After many closing shaves evading them, Jack eventually falls into the arms of the cooing Isabella. At his wit's end, he is finally rescued only to find that there are several hurdles to go in an ever-threatening urban world, but many in the company of a friend, Rita Fox, who has a glowing crush on Jack.
