The online publication Panoptikum dedicated a special issue to the subject of ‘Film education in Poland’. The topic is studied in depth from multiple perspectives: historical background, the attempts to implement film education both in the school curriculum and beyond, the legal and organisational conditions in and outside the school environment and the benefits of teacher training etc. There’s analysis about the methodology of various education programmes and about the options for film as a therapeutic tool. A more complete overview, even including the results of an anniversary film poll organised by the Museum of Cinematography in Łódź, is hard to imagine.
